Because this group is broad, recent reviews and photos are a better guide than the category alone. Most kitchens in Buffalo will adjust a dish for common dietary needs such as vegetarian or gluten-free if you ask when ordering. Hours vary widely: bars open late and cafes close early. Happy-hour pizza deals are common at bars across New York on weekday afternoons, and many casual restaurants take reservations online through third-party platforms while fast-food spots are walk-in only.

Hours are published for 5 days a week. The most common schedule is 12–3 pm. Note that it does not open on Monday, Tuesday. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. You can reach Roost at (716) 259-9306; calling is usually the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or directions. Its website is roostwny.com, where you may find menus, price lists or booking options.

Buffalo is in New York, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. Getting around Buffalo is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across New York's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

Roost is actually in my top 3 favorite restaurants in all of Buffalo. They rotate the menu Seasonally, keeping the menu fresh and the chefs on their toes. I have yet to have a bite of food that wasn’t impeccable! Service is always incredible. My friends and I had the opportunity to be served by Megan, who makes you feel right at home! Also- her recommendations are FLAWLESS. She brings the vibes: so much so that we got a picture with her πŸ˜‚πŸ˜† Can’t wait to return.

My husband and I ate here when we were in the area exploring. It's been a few months back, but I wanted to make sure I wrote a review because it was that good! What a great unexpected find a little off the beaten down road. Our food was absolutely delicious and perfectly presented artistically! We had the cabbage and ramen salad to share. Husband got the rotisserie chicken and loved it. I had the Chorizo Bahn Mi, and it was truly one of the best dishes I've had anywhere! Great service as well! Megan M. was our server, and she was super. Very hip, cool, eclectic atmosphere. And this might sound weird, but the bathrooms were cool as well with famous iconic pictures of Burt Reynolds and Farrah Fawcett. Very few restaurants excite me these days. I highly recommend this one!

Roost is a funky place where the zany is embraced, in form and flavor. The lemon ricotta pizza is my favorite and it’s phenomenal. As such, I can’t seem to break out and order anything else when it’s on the menu because I love it that much. It’s gold. But we did try the pumpkin soup recently, and it was also extremely delicious. They know what they’re doing with food and service. Best bloody mary around, as wellβ€” it packs a peppery punch in the best way (as in, it hurts so good for pepper lovers). We love to share a pizza at the bar, where we get to watch all the fast paced kitchen action and fresh ingredients being used in the preparation of dishes and drinks. And, 🌟 Paige 🌟 is wonderful β€” a ray of sunshine and extremely professional. She is a valuable part of the team, and makes us feel welcome and at home every time we visit.

MY REVIEW FOR YOU We recently went to Roost in Buffalo. The atmosphere was relaxing, yet vibrant at the same time. Seeing the chefs, go to work on creating our food & drinks with such artistic details, was so interesting. It felt like we were eating at one Gordon Ramsay’s places. Our food was amazing, loaded with tenderness and flavor. All of the ingredients were so fresh and perfectly executed. I would definitely give it five stars and recommend you give it a shot. The roasted fig, stuffed with goat cheese, wrapped in bacon with a drizzle of honey, was phenomenal. If that is a menu option, when you visit, I would highly recommend that you go for it! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Had a delicious dinner at Roost, right at sunset. Vibes were immaculate. We enjoyed the garden salad, the ribs entree, the Nashville hot flounder entree, and the mushroom fonduta pizza. We also had the strawberry shortcake dessert to share. Food was tasty, hot, and well seasoned. Service was great. Reservations were easy to make. The restaurant is accessible with limited ADA parking spots on the side of the bldg. The restaurant has a ramp at its entrance.
